Shield & Shine Supply LLC (“Shield & Shine,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you interact with us.

This Privacy Policy applies to our website and any online service that links to this Policy (collectively, the “Service”). By using our Service, you agree hereby acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy carefully and that you have no questions regarding the terms hereof, and you further consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This website, and the Services, are not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18). If you are under eighteen (18), you should not provide any personal information to us nor access the Services with the understanding that only your parent or legal guardian may do so on your behalf. We may change, restrict access to, suspend, or discontinue the Services, or any portion thereof, without notice. Should you violate the terms of this Privacy Policy, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services. 

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of our Services after any updates shall be deemed your acceptance of the updated policies.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

We collect personal information in a few limited ways:

A. Information You Provide Directly. You may give us personal information through your use of the Services, including but not limited to when you: contact us through our website, email, or phone; request information about our products or services; create a customer account (for invoicing, wholesale orders, or future purchases); sign up for newsletters or marketing emails; or make payments to us. Information you may provide can include: your name, company name, email address, phone number, billing or shipping address, or such other information you choose to provide. 

B. Information Automatically Collected. We may also automatically collect certain technical information from your computer or mobile device when you use the Services, such as your Internet Protocol address, your web browser type and version, the name and version of your operating system, the pages you view on the Services, the pages you view immediately before and after you access the Services, and the search terms you enter on the Services. This information allows us to recognize you and personalize your experience if you return to the Services using the same computer or mobile device, and to improve the Services.

C. Information from Third-Party Service Providers. If you conduct business with us (e.g., by placing orders offline), we may receive limited information from: Square or Stripe (for payments you authorize) or QuickBooks (for invoicing and accounting, once implemented). These third-party service providers may supply transaction or billing confirmations necessary to complete our Services.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies. We may collect information using “cookies,” which are small text files that the Services saves on your computer or mobile device, or similar technologies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect the functionality of the Services. We may use cookies or analytics tools for several reasons, including but not limited to, maintaining essential site functionality, understanding how visitors use our site, and improving website performance. We do not use advanced tracking scripts (e.g., Meta Pixel, interest-based advertising cookies). If you block or disable cookies, certain features on our Services may not work. If you block or reject cookies, not all of the tracking described in this Privacy Policy may stop. Certain options you select are browser and device-specific. Your selections may also be deleted whenever you clear your cookies or browser’s cache.

3. How We Share Your Information

We only share personal information when necessary for business purposes, and we do not sell your personal information. We will comply with the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act, 815 ILCS 530 et seq. (the “Act”) to the extent applicable to us and the Services. We may share information with:

A. Service Providers. We may engage third parties to assist in provision of the Services offered by us. We require such providers to maintain information about you as confidential and to use the information only to perform the services specified by us in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. Those third party service providers may include payment processors such as Square and Stripe, accounting tools such as QuickBooks, and website hosting or IT support providers. These companies are permitted to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.

B. Legal Requirements. We may disclose personal information if required to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or government request, protect or defend our interests and the legal rights or property of Shield and Shine and our affiliates, protect the rights, interests, safety and security of users of the Services or members of the public, protect against fraud or for risk management purposes, or comply with prudent legal practice as we may determine, and applicable law or legal process. 

C. Business Transfers. We may also transfer your information to an affiliate, a subsidiary or a third party in the event of any reorganization, merger, acquisition or sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of  our business, assets or stock, including, without limitation, in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceeding, provided that any such entity that we transfer information to will not be permitted to process your information other than as described in this Privacy Policy without providing you notice and, if required by applicable laws, obtaining your consent. 

4. Your Choices and Control Over Your Information

A. Email Preferences. If you subscribe to our emails, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the email or contacting us.

B. Updating or Deleting Your Information. You may contact us at and time to request a copy of the information we have about you, update your information or request deletion of your information (subject to business or legal requirements). All such requests must be made in writing and sent to kate@shieldandshinesupply.com.

C. Cookies. You may disable cookies through your browser settings. See Paragraph 2 above for more details. 

5. Interest-Based Advertising. 

We do not use interest-based advertising networks, retargeting tools, or social media tracking pixels. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy.

6. How We Store and Protect Your Information

A. Jurisdiction. Information collected through the Services will be stored in, processed in and subject to the laws of the United States, which may not provide the same level of protection for your information as your home country, and may be available to the United States government or its agencies under a lawful order made in the United States. By using the Services, you consent to such transfer to, storage in and processing within the United States.

B. Security. We are committed to protecting your information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. The system and its operators maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the information collected through the Services. However, no information or communication system can be 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. In addition, we are not responsible for the security of information that you transmit to the Services over networks that we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks.

C. Retention.  We will not retain data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws or regulations. If you wish to access or correct any information we hold about you, you may have your data deleted, blocked or corrected (as long as compliant with applicable law).  We also collect and retain information through the Services in an anonymized form, i.e. tracking the pages you visit and how long was spent on each page. We will dispose of records pursuant to Section 40 of the Act.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that your child or any child under your care has provided information without your consent, please contact us immediately using the contact information provided below.

8. State-Specific Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as right to access, right to delete, right to correct and right to opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we do not engage in these activities).

9. Links to Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we recommend reading their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

10. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, personnel, and physical security measures designed to safeguard information about you in our possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification. Of course, despite these measures, we cannot guarantee perfect security of networks, servers and databases we operate or that are operated on our behalf. Absent intentionally actions, you hereby waive any claim against us relating in whole or in part to data security as it pertains to your information.
